American Actress Eva Mendes Shares Her Ronald McDonald Story

American actress, Eva Mendes, shares her connection to Ronald McDonald House Charities and expresses her excitement for her new role within the organization.

Mendes is to serve as the 2020 Australia
McHappy Day ambassador for the
Ronald McDonald House annual event

In order to continue to be involved with Ronald McDonald House Charities during the COVID-19 pandemic, Mendes will meet virtually with Australian families for the November McHappy Day event.

Mendes shares that the organization holds a special place in her heart because of how much of an impact the Ronald McDonald House made on her family member's life. Mendes reveals that five years ago, her cousin's 18-month-old son was diagnosed with neuroblastoma. The House gave Mendes' cousin the opportunity to be there for her son easily by providing her with little to no cost lodging that was close to the hospital.

Seeing the impact her cousin's stay at the Ronald McDonald House, Mendes wanted to take a break from her usual work and partner with Ronald McDonald House Charities to help families, like her cousin, in need.
