Ronald McDonald House of Charities Scholarship Program Begins Taking Applications in California


$233,000 is whats up for grabs for this years RMHC Scholarship Program applicants. High school seniors of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties now have the opportunity to apply for thousands of dollars worth of scholarship money that can be put toward whatever appropriate educational expenses they may be faced with.

Vince Bryson, CEO of RMHC of Southern California, is seeking to take the financial burden of college off the shoulders of parents throughout Southern California. "In today's world, a college degree is a necessity, but the cost of chasing those higher education dreams can seem overwhelming to families,'' said Bryson, "Since 1990, we have committed millions to helping Southland families ease their financial worries so students can focus on all the opportunities that a higher education affords.'' The recipients of this years scholarship opportunity can put those funds toward tuition and any other appropriate educational expenses they may have. 

Applicants for the program must be a United States resident, he/she must be less than 21 years old and must have a minimum grade point average of 2.7.
